Zanders Engineers Ltd, flagship of Zanders Group, based at Mohali entered into an agreement with W2E USA Inc a U.S based company, having its Asia office at Cochin for Waste to Energy projects in Punjab and Haryana on 06 Dec 08.

While giving details at the impressive MOU singing ceremony Mr. Inderjit Singh Brar, Chairman of Zanders Group said that this singing would unleash a new revolution for management & utilization of wasted domestic resources such as municipal solid waste, agricultural waste, industrial waste of all types & convert them in a practical & environmentally safe manner into renewable energy.

Mr. George Mathew, V.P, W2E USA informed the gathering that W2E is a solutions-oriented organization created by entrepreneurs in the US and Asia. W2E team members are skilled in renewable energy technology development, from small-scale research through full commercial deployment, including facility operation and facility business management. Corporate capabilities include developing and delivering solutions for waste-to-energy, biomass waste conversion, energy recovery from low quality coal, chemical and liquid fuel production from wastes, and safe disposal of bio-medical waste.

The CEO of Zanders Engineers Limited while speaking on the Occasion said that the collaboration would service not only the market niche to provide turnkey waste to energy system but also cater to small scale systems for villages in remote locations as well as larger municipal solid waste transfer facilitate providing electricity back to the local grid.

The Scope of MOU includes building capabilities for developing & delivering solutions for waste to energy, biomass waste conversion, and energy recovery from low quality coal, chemical & liquid fuel production & safe disposal of bio-medical waste from waste. Apart from this the collaboration would seek interest in energy engineering, gasification technology, chemical process development, mechanical design, thermal analysis, plant instrumentation, and site energy & safety equipment for processing systems.
